| *Sigh*, I finally did it - I joined Facebook.
After months of holding out in resistance, I've finally given in. =| My
roomies and fellow students were successful in convincing me. I'm not
sure I'll like it, but at least now I can keep track of who's who, and
look people up when I forget their names. =S At least this will help me
with remembering who people are when I forget...I feel kind of bad because I
used to be so much better at remembering people. =(

| I think I'm going to try using this instead...http://jdubonline.blogspot.com/. I may or may not decide to update both of these at the same time. I prefer the cleaner look and simplicity of using Blogspot.

Here's a fun recent pic of a group lunch we had recently. I'm going to miss living here on the fun West Coast.
Back to the East Coast I go - less than 2 weeks now till the move to NYC!
| Wow, I guess it's been about 1/2 yr since I've posted. A lot has happened:
- Bought a little bright blue car, my baby - a.k.a. Blue Bus.
- Had an awesome Christmas with a big sis in NorCal.
- I applied to, visited, was accepted, matriculated, and registered at The King's College in NYC. Pretty crazy how God directed my steps back to the East coast.
- Started some major healing work in my life as I'm learning much about how my pretty rough and still dysfunctional family past has affected my ministry, relationships, and work/school decisions. Tough, tiring, and frustrating stuff but my Daddy in Heaven has been lavishing His grace, love, hope, and wisdom into my life as I slowly toil through...
- Got two cool new roomies...well, my old roomie is still slowly moving out, too. My place is a big mess of boxes. Interesting change in living with Chinese girls again after having not done so in about 3 yrs - since Alex. They're great gals - Canadian to boot.
I'm actually sharing a room again with one of them, too!
- Currently figuring out my move to NYC as I'm wrapping up my time here in the Seattle area. I can't believe I've been here for 6 yrs...that's such a long time! God's been sooo good through the ups and downs. Many great friends, wonderful godly mentors, fond memories, and hearty laughs to remember Seattle by.
- Picked up snowboarding (w/ a bunch of Canadians and NG friends) and softball (with a bunch of co-workers). Needless to say, these new sports also mean new ways for me to hurt myself, haha. Went on a fancy Whistler trip with my prayer partner to help round out my slope experience. BTW, I don't recommend ever snowboarding by yourself - it's boring and dangerous.
- Got to hang out w/ little sis here in Seattle during her spring break. =) Fun times ice skating, cooking, shopping, eating, reading and driving around a lot with li'l J-Dub.
- Mom and little sis are moving back up here. Interesting timing...trying to figure out how to not let it stress me out too much.
- Learning a lot about leading worship and prayer as I'm focusing on these areas of ministry at Cornerstone and NewGen.Pro.
- May is pretty crazy as I'm not sleeping at home every weekend. However, my roomies, and bunch of Canadians, another friend and I are going to Hawai'i for a long Memorial Day weekend! Woo-hoo, I'm so excited!!!

Well, I'm sure there's probably more, but my memory isn't the best at the moment for recalling everything that's happened. I'm not getting much sleep at all this month.
Take care everyone! | | |
| Our church focus as we're moving toward a year of prayer... James 5:14-16 (NASB) -
14Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; 15and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him. 16Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
It seems to me a problem in the church is that we don't truly share with, care for, and really spend time in prayer for each other consistently. I hope and pray the Lord breaks through some of our own barriers this upcoming year... starting with our hearts this season as we're remembering God's amazing grace sent to earth, Jesus Christ.
On another note - Let it snow, let it snow, let snow! Maybe some of us will get a company-wide snow day or two...
| Ever feel like everyone knows you, but no one really knows you? Or that everyone calls you a friend, but no one would really call you if they needed a friend ? - Kind of exaggerated, but I guess that would somewhat describe my life a bit this last year. I'm trying to take time to figure out why I feel like I have more "ministry partners/acquaintances" than friends ...
God's been chipping away at me though, He definitely knows me and all the yucky things I struggle with. Yet still calls me His princess who He knows intimately, lavishly loves, and adores in spite of my lack of faithfulness! Such amazing grace infuses my little life... What an awesome Daddy in Heaven I have ...
Oh, here's an overdue pic of when my sisters came to visit back in June/July. Fun times - we were all on wheels @ Alki Beach (scooter, bike, & rollerblades - that's why I'm appearing so tall ):
